SLA Alumni Spotlight
Sydney Leeds (2018) will be joining the Merrimack College Women's Lacrosse team next year. Sydney is a tenacious attacker at Stamford High who has a nose for the goal. In her Junior year campaign, she was an All FCIAC Honorable Mention selection. Syd was one of SLA's "Orginal Five", making the first 5th Grade Travel Team Stamford offered. The Original 5 were comprised of girls who started with the program as a 5th grader and stuck with it until moving on to high school.
Steven Phelps (2018) chose to bring his face off skills to Lasell College. Steven is a faceoff midfielder for Stamford High. He brings leadership to the field and has been named Captain in his senior year. In additon to his on field abilities, he brings he energy and enthusiam to the youth level as a coach to our Bantam Boys. He volunteers every Sunday during our spring season,
Spencer Decker (2017) is headed to the University of Vermont. He plays midfield for Brunswick School and is also a three year member of the varsity football team.
Sean Morris (2017) chose the University of North Carolina. Also a midfielder, was co-captain racked up 50 career points (42 goals, eight assists) through his junior year at Brunswick School. Sean also served as captain of the football team.
Jack O'Connor (2016) attends Bowdoin college and is a member of the lacrosse team. Jack plays goalie and earned All State selection and was a two time All-SCC lacrosse honoree at Fairfield Prep. Jack also ran cross country. For his talents in the classroom and achievements in athletics Jack was recognized with the United States Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award.
